Pet cards and skin texture boards. Children to sort the cards onto the correct board, depending on which skin type they have. Can provoke discussion around why animals have certain skins (temperature regulation, protection, sensory needs). Could also introduce camouflage.

Game cards based on the actual Lego Creationary game. Colours or coloured images to be stuck onto a 6 sided die. Roll the die to choose a category, pick up a game card and turn the timer to create your model. Other players to guess what your model is. x2 is double points if the model is guessed correctly. ? means the player can choose any of the images on their card. Each time a model is guessed correctly, you get a piece of your favourite colour Lego. Winner is the first to build a tower of 10 pieces.

A graphic organiser for children to plan their design for a lunchbox that keeps food cool. Space to make notes or write reasons as well as areas to sketch the inside of the lunchbox and also provide a diagram of how the insulation works. Storage could be how the lunchbox will be stored - thinking about the shape of the lunchbox. Pupils could also consider the eco friendliness of the materials used.

We designed our own characters, looking at recounts, character descriptions and then moved onto a simple story and made it into a comic strip. Our superheroes focused on the good qualities they could have, and what human values (love, peace, truth, non-violence and right conduct) they display.

Simple 4x4 grids with columns labelled A to D and rows labelled 1 to 4. Images of superheroes, 2D shapes, dinosaurs and Mickey Mouse characters to find the grid co-ordinates for. Children to remember to write the x-axis first and then the y-axis. The first two grids are very simple with 4 image co-ordinates to record, the next two have either 6 or 9 co-ordinates to record.
